Central Michigan football head coach John Bonamego went into the National Football League to find a new special teams coordinator and cornerbacks coach in Tony Coaxum. Most recently, Coaxum was an assistant special teams coach with the Denver Broncos. Prior to working for the Broncos, Coaxum was previously with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens.
Coaxum, in his playing days, was a cornerback for Army. Following his time on the field he was an assistant coach for the Black Nights from 2007 to 2013.
