SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras - In May, Beatriz Martorell '15 cheered for her brother, Isaac Martorell '13, as he received his long awaited diploma/commissioning. This brother-and-sister duo wasn't from California, Texas, or even from the U.S., but foreign nationals from Honduras.
On July 15, Beatriz (photographed) was back in her home country of Honduras for cadet troop leadership training (CTLT), which provides West Point cadets the opportunity during their junior year to experience leadership in Army units over a three- to four-week period. Cadets serve in lieutenant-level leadership positions with active-duty units to get a better understanding of their future position.
