Major General (Retired) Randy Castro, formerly Senior Vice President of federal programs at AECOM's technical services business, has joined Black & Veatch as President of its federal business. Castro, brings over 35 years of government, project management and infrastructure development experience to Black & Veatch's special projects business, the company said Monday. "We are excited to add a leader of the caliber of Randy Castro, who brings extensive military and private sector experience that provides a tremendous understanding of the goals and issues of our federal sector clients," said Marty Travers, group president of Black & Veatch. Castro's military career included roles as deputy director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and commanding general of the Army Corps of Engineers Pacific Ocean Division and South Atlantic Division. He is a board member of the Army Engineer Association and sits on the board of flag directors at Arizona State University.
