Caroline Stanclift is participating in Team Challenge ALS to raise awareness to fight back against this terrible disease. Her father, Captain Jeffrey Stanclift '86 passed from complications due to ALS on March 7th, 2018. He fought with courage and dignity, yet it was heart breaking to watch the disease take hold. He was her role model, coach, comic relief, and biggest advocate. Now it is her turn to advocate for him and others affected by ALS.
Back in 1984 when many of his classmates knew him, he ran the Marine Corps Marathon and hopped right back on a bus to West Point. 34 years later, on Caroline's first Father's Day without him, she found his Marine Corps bib – an experience nothing short of transcendent. Caroline is honored to run her first marathon in his memory; literally following in his footsteps when he was just about the same age.
