Adria Horn has been named vice president of workforce development at Tilson, a Portland-based network deployment and IT professional services firm. For the past three years Horn has served as director of Maine's Bureau of Veterans' Affairs, where she led local and national veteran outreach and legislative initiatives. Gov. Paul R. LePage said she has raised the profile of Maine's veterans during her time with the bureau.
In her new role on Tilson's senior management team, Adria will be responsible for implementing Tilson's global workforce strategy by deepening Tilson's training and career pathing, and partnering with educational institutions, industry and the military in building Tilson's team of technical professionals, the company said in Wednesday's announcement.
"Adria is a proven leader and respected voice in workforce development, said Tilson CEO Joshua Broder, a 2018 Mainebiz Business Leader of the Year and a decorated Army veteran. "'I'm honored to serve with her as we continue to build our workforce to keep pace with our incredible growth."
"I'm excited to continue to serve in a mission-driven organization building American's information infrastructure, and to the continuity between my workforce development and wellness work at the Maine Bureau of Veterans' Services to Tilson's workforce development programs," Adria said. Read More
