Adams '13 Named Bass Military Scholar at VanderbiltIn its inaugural year, the Bass Military Scholars Program at Vanderbilt University welcomed seven outstanding student-veterans pursuing graduate and professional studies programs in Law, Business, Medicine, and Nursing. Among them, Devin T. Adams '13 works to earn a J.D. degree to start his career in Real Estate Law with a focus in Development and Land Use. In addition to a $25,000 per academic year award, the program encourages scholars to engage the student community and foster military-civilian exchanges, where Adams is excited at the opportunity to mentor and help develop young leaders at Vanderbilt. Like his faculty role at West Point, he would like to share values of collaboration, planning and execution, dreams and destinations. The scholars are extending their service beyond their uniform in the vibrant city of Nashville as part of a distinguished institution in a program unlike any other in graduate and professional studies, offering talented veterans like Adams the opportunity to achieve education goals and support the talented Vanderbilt community of students, faculty and staff.
