Douglas H. Wise was inducted as a senior member of the Honorary Board of the International Spy Museum in November of this year. He retired from CIA as a member of CIA’s Senior Intelligence Service on 30 August 2016 completing nearly three decades of service. His finished his career with CIA in a Joint Duty Assignment as the Deputy Director of the Defense intelligence Agency. As the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Doug was the Chief Operating Officer for a 20,000 employee, global defense enterprise supporting senior Defense and National policymakers and the war fighting commands.
He currently serves on a number of corporate boards (including the Board of Advisors to an entertainment startup: Spycraft Entertainment) and provides management and leadership coaching and mentoring to the leadership teams of large corporations. Doug also serves as a strategic advisor and risk identification/risk mitigation subject matter expert for the world’s largest law Firm. He also is a leadership advisor to Los Alamos National Laboratory. In addition, Doug spends significant time providing interagency leadership and clandestine tradecraft training as well as role playing as a chief of station for special operations warriors. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the National Security Studies Program at the University of New Mexico.
Doug’s government post-government service reflects a deep understanding/experience with risk and threat identification as well as working within Government and with private sector clients to identify brand, reputation and security exposure/risks and then develop and help implement risk mitigation strategies and programs.
