The holidays are a time for us to come together and celebrate the wonder of the season. The West Point Band is pleased to present a virtual West Point Holiday Show, titled “Home for the Holidays” to be streamed on Facebook and YouTube on Sunday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. Leading up to this premiere event, the West Point Band will release one song from the show each day at 12:00 p.m., beginning on December 9 through December 18. The individual videos, featuring some West Point Band favorites like “Field Music Christmas” and a jazz rendition of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” will be streamed on the band’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/westpointband/, and on the band’s YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/BandWestPoint. The 10-day stream-a-thon will culminate with a live, interactive watch party, airing on both Facebook and YouTube at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20. More information on the show and all the ways to watch can be found at https://www.westpointband.com/holiday-show.html.
Established in 1817, the West Point Band is the Army’s oldest musical organization and continues to provide world-class music to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets and to serve as ambassadors of the United States Military Academy and the Army to local, national, and international communities.
