Kudos to John and Colleen Innis for setting up the West Point Society of the Tennessee Valley’s (WPSTV) table for the North Alabama Veterans and Fraternal Organizations Coalition (NAVFOC) luncheon. John is WPSTV’s Liaison Officer to NAVFOC. The guest speaker was LTG (R) William Phillips, who gave a great speech that focused on several local veterans who had served in the Korean War. He also recommended viewing a documentary titled “The Girl Who Wore Freedom” – a story about the citizens of Normandy, France, and how they honor our soldiers that liberated them in WWII.
