2021 Grads Present at the IMECE

The paper from 2LTs Nate Batta, Grant Williams, Shane Murphy, and Andrew Quantz (Class of 2021 Mechanical Engineering majors) on “Drone Assisted Targeting for Direct Fire Engagements” was presented at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE). In the course of their project, they designed, built, and tested a drone designed to fly near tanks and assisted them with targeting, while maintaining its position in GPS-denied environments. The team was advised by LTC Bluman, CDR Pegues (US Navy), and Mr. Manjunath. The capstone project was supported by U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center.
