Today we feature Joshua Phillips ’20, who participated in an interview with WPAOG earlier this year about why he supports West Point. “I was inspired to start giving to West Point because of all the opportunities I had as a cadet. Some of these opportunities included trip sections; I went to Canada with the Domestic Affairs Forum, traveled all across the country with the Spirit Band, and did many activities with my Company. As president of the Class of 2020, I was extremely inspired by my own experiences but also for what the Academy has done for the Class of 2020. We’ve achieved great heights and I feel honored that I am able to give back. Currently, I give back to the Social Sciences Department, from which I was a major. SOSH made me feel at home. The instructors are all amazing, they are very bright and always willing to help out cadets. The SOSH Department feels like a family, and I want cadets to have the same experiences I had with the SOSH Department.”
