The U.S. Military Academyʼs Equal Opportunity Office hosted a National Hispanic Heritage Month Observance on Oct 12 at the West Point Club. The eventʼs guest speaker was James Saenz, 1987 USMA graduate and currently the deputy assistant Secretary of Defense for Counternarcotics and Stabilization Policy. Saenz spoke to a packed West Point Club about his work experiences, his life at West Point and professionally as a Hispanic American. Each year, the Department of Defense, along with the rest of the Nation, recognizes the important contributions and rich culture of Hispanic Americans.
