LTC(R) Albrecht '80 Receives the Chester Sorenson South Dakota Veteran of the Year Award

On 1 September 2022 LTC(R) Rick Albrecht '80 received the Chester Sorenson South Dakota Veteran of the Year Award. The award was presented at the South Dakota state fair in Huron, South Dakota. In 2021, Rick passionately volunteered over 1,500 hours of community service. During his 13 years with the VA Health Care System, Rick has devoted nearly 5,000 hours to our honored patients. Despite the curtailment of volunteer services because of the pandemic, Rick still steadfastly managed to give over 800 hours to the veteran community in 2021.
