Be Thou at Peace COL(R) Francis K. Newcomer Jr. ’39. WPAOG sadly announces the death of West Point’s oldest living graduate, Colonel Francis K. Newcomer Jr. ’39, USA Retired, at 105 years old. BG(R) Paul D. Phillips '40 is now the oldest living graduate. 
Last year, the West Point Center for Oral History interviewed Newcomer, where he provided vivid details about many of his life’s experiences and shared recollections about many of the people he interacted with over his 28-year Army career.
