On Nov 15, 2022 COL(R) Jeff Gault ’70 received the Outstanding Alumnus Award for community service by USAWC graduates after retirement from government service. Recipients of the award, initiated in 1996, include a prestigious list of national military leaders whose names are familiar to all. The War College citation noted Jeff for his service to organizations in the El Paso and Dallas, Texas communities, especially his support of veterans. In 2001, members of the USMA Class of 1992 founded the Army Scholarship Foundation, and in 2004, Jeff assumed the role of Chief Executive and continues to serve as Chairman and CEO. Since its inception the Foundation has awarded almost two thousand college level scholarships to children of soldiers and spouses of active-duty enlisted soldiers. This year the Foundation awarded 291 academic scholarships to US Army family member students around the globe. Jeff is a 1990 graduate of the War College. Prior to his retirement he deployed twice to the Middle East, including a Desert Shield/Desert Storm tour. His final active-duty assignment was as Chief of Staff, Fort Bliss, Texas. Read more.
