Hart '56 Releases Once A SoldierRelating his personal life journey with humor and occasional sadness, R. Renwick Hart’s '56 autobiography, “Once A Soldier: A Biography spanning eighty years, two wars and four thousand hours of flight time,” was written as a way to help Hart’s descendants connect with him. Beginning in Hawaii with his childhood, Hart covers the most significant events in his life, taking readers with him to the continental US, Europe, Korea and Vietnam before ending in Pebble Beach, California. He shares what life at West Point was like while he attended college there. The author describes his service in Vietnam during the war along with all too many life-threatening flying experiences. In addition, Hart includes how he has spent his retirement years. Hart hopes his autobiography inspires the reader to understand “importance of recording their life’s events for those who follow.” Available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
