Kristen Barta's postseason honors continue with her selection to the Capital One Academic All-American on the At-Large Team, announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is Barta's second consecutive time to earn the honor and becomes the first in Army West Point swimming and diving history to receive the distinction multiple times.
"Kristen Barta's contributions to Army West Point swimming and diving have transcended the pool," said head coach Mickey Wender. "She has been an integral part in developing the team's culture and environment that will take our program to the next level. I thoroughly enjoyed coaching Kristen and working with her in and out of the pool. I have no doubt she will have an amazing career as an Army officer and medical doctor."
