LTG(R) Hernandez ’76 First to ProtectWise Advisory Board

ProtectWise, provider of the industry’s first Cloud Network DVR for complete visibility and detection of enterprise threats and accelerated incident response, has appointed former Commander of Army Cyber Command, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Rhett A. Hernandez as the first member of its Advisory Board. The board will serve as a strategic resource for ProtectWise as it continues to innovate its Cloud Network DVR for enterprise security and increase its market penetration.

“ProtectWise’s cloud-based approach to network security is a game changer,” said Lieutenant General (Ret.) Rhett A. Hernandez. “It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of an effort that is truly re-imagining network security rather than just iterating on today’s outdated and ineffective model.” Currently serving as the U.S. Military Academy Cyber Chair to the Army Cyber Institute, Hernandez retired from after 39 years of distinguished service in the United States Army.

His final active duty assignment was as the Commander of Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER). As ARCYBER’s first commander, he stood up a global cyber-force that eventually totaled more than 17,000 personnel and directed the daily operations and Defense of all Army Networks with more than 1 million users. He also led the development of transformational concepts, plans and programs to increase the Army’s ability to conduct land and cyber operations. Read More
