Former Army West Point wrestling standout Jon Anderson earned a gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games during Greco-Roman competition on Wednesday at the Hershey Centre.
A 2006 graduate of West Point, Anderson defeated Venezuela's Querys Perez by a 9-0 technical fall in the championship match at 187 pounds on Wednesday, helping the United States finish the day, 10-2. Anderson joined three other American wrestlers in medaling, including Andy Bisek, who captured gold in the 165 match.
Anderson finished second in the United States World Team Trials earlier this year and has been a member of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program since 2011. Read More
