Colonel (Ret.) Curtis Thalken, Former Commander of the New England District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has joined Normandeau Associates as a Vice President. Colonel Thalken will focus on the management of large, complex projects and continued expansion and strategic development of Normandeau Associates. Colonel Thalken will add high level regulatory expertise to the firm regarding environmental impact studies, licensing and permitting for energy projects, harbor dredging, transportation and other infrastructure projects.
He also will play a major role in strengthening our relationship with the Army Corps of Engineers as well as with the Navy, Air Force, Homeland Security, Coast Guard, Veterans Administration and other federal and state agencies. Normandeau has provided contracting services to the Corps of Engineers for many years, including a current 5 year contract with the Walla Walla (WA) District for hydropower services.
