Lieutenant General Ying Hsing Wen, USMA Class of 1909, persevered through adversity as a cadet and won the hearts and minds of his American classmates and instructors. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and assisted Dr. Sun Yat Sen in the transformation of China from an Imperial kingdom to a modern republic, only to face revolution and exile in the following years.
