Baseball Holds Annual Alumni EventWEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point baseball program held its annual Alumni Weekend festivities this past weekend. Army baseball alumni ranging from the Class of 1966 through the Class of 2012 were back at West Point to participate in numerous events surrounding the weekend. The former players took batting practice before playing a 3-inning game under the lights at Doubleday Field on Friday night. Among the returning players were Barry De Bolt ’66 and Gene Atkinson ’66, who served as honorary team captains and threw out ceremonial first pitches.

Skip Deitz ’78 was the contributor of the Saturday morning tailgate before the Army football game versus Duke at Michie Stadium and served alongside Jim Bagwell ’81 as part of the umpiring crew for Sunday's Black Knight World Series at Doubleday Field. "We are really pleased with the support and turnout for our alumni weekend," head coach Matt Reid said. "Our players and coaching staff are extremely thankful to everyone who came back to West Point and participated." Read More
