On Veterans' Day 2015, the Green Beret Foundation thanked the Chairman of its Board MG(R) David A. Morris for his first year as leader of the organization. Green Beret Foundation Executive Director Jen Paquette praised Morris for his selfless dedication to advancing the cause of current and retired Special Forces soldiers and their families. “MG Morris brings to the Foundation a powerful set of skills and important connections in the private sector that help our Green Berets with their transition to civilian life. More than that, he brings the heart of a soldier and a great leader, who loves his country and his comrades, and devotes himself to serving them. I am confident the General is exactly what the Foundation needs to go to the next level of support for our Green Berets and their families. I look forward to many more years of working with him.”
In its six years of service, the Foundation has helped more than 600 current and former Green Beret soldiers and their families, offering medical, rehabilitative, and psychological services. Its new project, Next Ridgeline, provides current and former U.S. Army Green Berets who are transitioning the tools and resources they need to be successful. “I am honored that I can help to give back to Special Forces soldiers who have risked everything they have, under the most dangerous and sometimes dispiriting conditions, for America's safety and freedom. When they return home from war, it is our duty as citizens to help them.” said Morris.
