Attorney Leo Flor ’02 was working for the Northwest Justice Project when an unusual case came in. A veteran who had been injured by an IED blast was being told to repay benefits he had received from the VA. An oversight in paperwork was threatening this soldier’s livelihood and his ability to take care of his family. Although it took more than a year to clear up the matter, Flor was able to get the agency to forgive the veteran’s debt and for him to keep his home. Read the entire story here.
