GEORGETOWN, KY - The Scott County Board of Education unanimously chose a new school superintendent at a special meeting. The board voted to offer a contract to Dr. Kevin Hub, who is currently the superintendent of Logan County Schools, according to a school board member. Dr. Hub is a graduate of the Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond with a Masters of Arts in Education degree in Geography Education, and Spalding University in Louisville with a Doctorate in Education in Leadership Education.
Prior to becoming superintendent of Logan County Schools, he was Assistant Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer for Madison County Schools in Richmond. Dr. Hub is in his twenty-second (22nd) year in education after serving in the military for forty (40) months including a six (6) month tour in Desert Storm where he was awarded the Bronze Star medal and the Army Commendation medal with “V” device for Valor.
