Col. Scott D. King ’88 will assume command of the 194th Armored Brigade at Fort Benning, Georgia from Col. Kevin S. MacWatters during a change of command ceremony on Brave Rifles Field in Harmony Church. The ceremony will take place on June 25, 2013 at 9 a.m.
King was commissioned as an Armor second lieutenant upon his graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1988. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, Command and General Staff College and Louisiana Technical University, where he earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
Prior to assuming command of the 194th Brigade, King served as the deputy commandant and interim commandant of the US Army Armor School.
