Baum ’86, Starts Church With Help of Fellow Grad

David Baum ’86 has started a church with the instruction and support of Brad Evangelista ’93, the pastor of CrossPointe Church in Columbus, Ga. David had previously served 5 years as an infantry officer and then 17 as a chaplain, retiring in November of 2012. David credited his fellow grad’s assistance in launching Fountain City Church in Columbus, Georgia,  “It has been an invaluable training experience observing Brad’s leaders at CrossPointe Church in order to learn how to be a local church pastor these last 18 months. Brad and his team practice excellent leadership principles in a church setting. It has been extremely helpful to see his team selflessly serve, motivate, and lead their flock.”
