Brigadier General Daniel L. Karbler ’87 enjoys remarks by Lieutenant General (Ret) Robert P. Lennox ’77 during his promotion ceremony to Major General on April 20, 2015 at Fort Belvoir, VA. He is currently Director, Joint and Integration, Headquarters Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8. Major General Karbler served as the Commanding General, 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Shafter, HI and Commandant, Army Air Defense School, Fort Sill, OK. Among his assignments, he served as Architecture and Concepts Branch Officer, Joint Theater Air Missile Defense Organization, J-8 on the Joint Staff. His overseas tours include Germany, Israel, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Major General Karbler has M.S. degrees from Benedictine College (Business Administration) and the National Defense University (National Security and Strategic Studies). He worked for Lieutenant General (Ret) Lennox as his Brigade S-3 when he commanded the 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Bliss, TX and when Lennox was Deputy Commanding General there. Lieutenant General (Ret) Lennox was Principal Deputy Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation, Office of the Secretary of Defense and Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8.
