ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Nick Hill, a former Army West Point baseball player from the Class of 2007, recently resumed his professional career with the Philadelphia Phillies organization as a member of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Hill signed a minor league free-agent contract with the Phillies this spring and pitched twice in Spring Training. He began the 2015 season on the disabled list and remained in Clearwater, Fla., prior to being activated by the Triple-A affiliate on April 23.
The Lehigh Valley relief pitcher has appeared in two games so far, and has allowed six hits and two earned runs in 4 1/3 innings. Hill has two strikeouts and has issued three walks. Hill made his debut against the Buffalo Bisons and gave up one run in two innings, before pitching against the Durham Bulls on April 27. He surrendered one run in 2 1/3 innings. Read More
