BELTON - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton named a new vice president for campus planning and support services Thursday. Rick Martinez, who has served as director of UMHB’s physical plant since June 2011, overseeing facilities and grounds maintenance, will assume the post on Friday.
Martinez served for five years in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of captain. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1986 and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2014.
