Auburn Attorney Robert L. Litchfield was named to The National Advocates: Top 100 on June 15, as one of the top 100 bankruptcy lawyers in the state of California, a press release said. Litchfield is the author of seven published books, including the recent book about Auburn-area homeless people called “ Until they have faces.” He has practiced law for more than 35 years. He also teaches business law at Sierra College, where he and three other local attorneys wrote a textbook on business law (“Practical Business Law”) that is used in Sierra College business law classes, the release said.
Litchfield is a graduate of West Point and a former captain in the United States Air Force. He graduated second in his law school class at McGeorge School of Law in 1980. He is a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif, for academic excellence in the study of the law, and was published in the Pacific Law Journal. He is a member of Auburn Rotary, and serves on the advisory boards of Auburn Salvation Army and Acres of Hope.
