It didn't take long for Alex Robinett, a New York Yankees farmhand, to make the most of another baseball promotion. He was recently promoted from the Staten Island Yankees (A, Short Season) to the Charleston RiverDogs (A).
The right-handed pitcher came out of the bullpen to earn a save August 5th, last Wednesday night with the Charleston RiverDogs of the South Atlantic League.
Robinett made six relief appearances during a brief stay with the Staten Island Yankees, posting a 1-1 record and 2.45 ERA with one save. He began the minor-league season in the Gulf Coast League after being selected in the 32nd round of the June draft as an Army senior. Story
