Catalent Pharama Solutions received the U.S. Department of Defense Above and Beyond Award Wednesday in recognition of the company’s outstanding service and continuing support to the National Defense. The award is typically presented once a year to companies such as Catalent for their support of military employment in conjunction with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), Comer said.
“Obviously, they’ve (Catalent) done a lot to help their people that are in the military, guard or reserve and that’s why they’re receiving this award,” Comer said. “It’s very infrequently presented and it’s a very high level award.” Steve Havel, general manager at Catalent, said hiring veterans is an initiative at the company and that an outside initiative wasn’t needed because “it makes sense.” Read More
