Daniel R. Hokanson was promoted to Lieutenant General on Aug. 15 at a ceremony in Camp Withycombe, Oregon. He was previously serving as the Adjutant General of Oregon, and is now the Deputy Commander, United States Northern Command, and Vice Commander, U.S. Element, North American Aerospace Defense Command.
He holds multiple master’s degrees, and was a National Security Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School Government. He has commanded at the company, battalion and brigade combat team levels, and his combat deployments include Operations JUST CAUSE, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Read More
