Jebb ’82 Nominated to be the Next Dean of West Point

WEST POINT, NY - The President has nominated Colonel Cindy Jebb to be the next U.S. Military Academy’s Dean of the Academic Board making her the first woman to hold this position in West Point history. “ I want to congratulate Cindy on her nomination for appointment to brigadier general and assignment as the U.S. Military Academy’s Dean of the Academic Board,” said Acting Secretary of the Army Patrick Murphy. “Upon confirmation, Cindy’s stellar academic record and military leadership will be instrumental in the future development of cadets. This is a historic time for our military and I’m excited for West Point to have its first woman to hold this position.” Jebb currently serves as professor and head of the Department of Social Sciences and will replace Brigadier General Tim Trainor when he retires in June.
