Dave Pelizzon '81 President of Squadron Capital LLC, is backing OrthoPediatrics Corp., maker of orthopedic implants for children, and plans to list on the Nasdaq Stock Market in an initial public offering.
OrthoPediatrics, of Warsaw, Ind., produces implantable devices used to correct deformities and treat conditions resulting from injury. Squadron Capital first invested in OrthoPediatrics in 2011, according to the filing. The Granby, Conn., investment firm acquired a majority stake in the company in 2014, according to the firm’s website. Funded by a Chicago-based trust, Squadron Capital invests in companies with revenue of $10 million to $100 million in the U.S. and abroad.
