On 21 December 2016, Kabul, Afghanistan- Lieutenant Colonel Thérèse Obidinski ’98 and a US Army Information Operations officer, was awarded one of the highest Romanian military honors that can be awarded to member of a foreign military, the Emblem of Honor, signed by the Romanian Army Chief of General Staff from the Ministry of National Defense. The Combined Joint Psychological Operations Task Force (CJPOTF) Commander, Colonel Sorin Cirstea presented the award to her as a sign of appreciation for the commitment and dedication LTC Obidinski demonstrated while performing her duties as the CJPOTF deputy commander in support of the NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and also to honor the continued partnership between the U.S. and Romania.
